As artisanal became the buzz work in the spirits industry, Kahlúa had a problem: consumers didn’t know about its heritage and thought of it as the bottle in their parent’s liquor collection, a beverage mixed with coffee or an essential ingredient in The Dude’s iconic White Russian.
So we set out to celebrate Kahlúa’s heritage and show the world how Delicioso Kahlúa could be. As their digital AOR, we created a new website that included an interactive feature to illustrate the brand’s 7-year Bean to Bottle process, a five-minute heritage film (that I scripted and directed), the TalkAbout iPhone app, a printed 75th anniversary booklet and a promotional video for a Facebook.
