My first job in advertising remains one of my favorites. We created “In An Absolut World” visionaries program, an entertainment platform for ABSOLUT Vodka in which we collaborated with creative influencers (such as Zach Galifianakis, Helmut Lang and Kayne West) to make unique pieces of content representing what these influencers imagined “In An Absolut World.”
Transitioning from journalism, I brought an editorial perspective to the campaign and oversaw both the creation of a campaign website as well as the Absolut World blog where we featured daily content related to the program. We also created innovative online-offline experiences such as a partnership with Teenage Engineering called Absolut Machines, where visitors to our website were invited to create original musical compositions by feeding notes to two remotely stationed, state-of-the-art “artificially creative” machines, in New York City and Stockholm (in 2008!).
I ran the platform for two years and had so much fun, I never went back to journalism.
